I don't want to alarm you, really I don't, but I just took a look at myself in the mirror and it would appear that I am experiencing quite the medical complication right now. How did I come to find myself in this asinine predicament? Well, let's rewind back a few hours first, shall we?

I sat myself down on the weathered green bench atop the hill by the sea, scrutinizing a majestic oceanic vista beneath a clear blue sky, my ears filled with the sounds of relentless waves like the slow heartbeat of the earth itself and the calls of hungry seagulls gliding effortlessly in the wind above me. As I rested my head I began to wonder how many years this bench had seen, the countless storms and scorching days of summer sun it had endured as I rolled a flaking paint chip around in my fingers, weathered and brittle as it crumbled onto the carpet of lush grass below.

I stood there next to the garage armed with a magnifying lens, a chunk of polystyrene foam stolen from a recently received package and a pyromaniac's natural instincts. Who could blame me for what came next? With matches and lighters against the rules, I kneeled down and carefully planted the rectangular block of polystyrene wedging it amongst the recently mown grass that grew from the soft dirt below it, then with a mechanical precision honed throughout my childhood years I positioned the magnifying lens above, tuning its rotation and distance focusing the suns raw energy into a single pinprick of molten doo

All that remained was a cold sterile world. A Mandelbox with Tglad's folding and Spherical folding enabled. Found the amount of detail in this fractal to be rather fascinating so I decided to render it. Scale, Folding Limit and Folding Value are set to 2, Fixed Radius is 1 and Min Radius is 0.5.

I love the intricate detailing in this! You can almost feel the dreariness seeping from the image.

One can easily imagine the mindless masses trudging along the many pathways within this world, unaware of their minuscule existences ..... or maybe that's just me
